INTERACTIVE

{WORK IN PROGRESS}

QUIESCENCE

This was a hands on project that allowed us to create an interactive art installation by using both software and hardware. Our final creation is an interactive flower that reacts to the sound of the environment and the proximity of the people around it.

PROCESS

challenges

The toughest parts of this project was the issues we had with getting our servo motor to work (rotation motion) and the difficult process of figuring out how we would get our flower to open and close based on the minimal amount of resources that we had. This project taught me a lot about how things really worked; before working on this, the bridge between software and hardware was very hazy. Now I can confindentally say that I know more about the limits and capabilities of virtual and material objects.

SYNTH-ESIA

A concept for an interactive installation I would like to create if I had the time and resources. This taught me a lot about researching and what an interactive installation really is.

REMINIX

An interactive art installation that creates a storytelling experience through chance, triggers, and memories. We integrated old fashioned mash-up story telling with new technology such as QR codes using devices to access them.
